You know you’re onto something special when the necklines of red carpet regulars, Jesinta Campbell and Jennifer Hawkins are adorned with their exquisite sterling styles.

Melbourne-based jewellery line, Ichu has earned a cult following for it’s modern and sophisticated styles, bold shapes and intricate detail.

Aje designer, Edwina Robinson in Ichu jewellery

Melbourne School of Fashion, business graduate and creative director, Geneva Caldwell has created an extensive range of jewellery whilst using her eye for fashion when travelling and sourcing designs.

The Ichu range is inspired by international trends, travel and `a need for the unattainable’. In this plight, her Ichu designs have become synonymous for style and quality. Each piece is produced in Mexico using the highest quality 925 sterling silver.

Geneva drew on the brand’s Mexican heritage to found the name Ichu which refers to its versatility and creativity. A perfect analogy to the jewellery’s free-spirited aesthetic.

Devoted to maintaining the highest standards in style, it’s little wonder celebrities such as Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Erin McNaught and Danni Minogue are fans.

Visit 4Threads Fashion Agency to view the new Ichu collection on Stand 3810 during Fashion Exposed from 25-27 August at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Reviving the golden age of Hollywood glamour…

In 1996, a collaborative vision brought two designers, Joy Liakis and Natalie Fowler together during their studies in Fashion Design at RMIT and McCabe Academy.

United in their love of historical design and modern innovative fashion, (they were especially inspired by the art of corsetry), the duo embarked on a wonderful journey across 17 years under their own vintage-inspired label, Vicious Venus.

The girls are passionate about empowering women of all ages to enhance their own natural beauty with the best of vintage styling. Specialising in sophisticated classic clothing they are committed to creating original vintage inspired contemporary dresses, corsets and separates that celebrate the female form.

Dedicated to reviving the golden age of Hollywood glamour when curves were not a sin, Vicious Venus designs are always flattering, feminine and honour a woman’s independent spirit which never goes out of style!

We took five with the Vicious Venus designers to talk inspiration, the story behind the name, and exhibiting the range at upcoming Fashion Exposed Melbourne.

Winter is dull, but the fashion is fun…

It’s almost winter, but before you groan at the thought, we pulled together some stylish winter inspirations to look forward to as the cool change sets in.

Winter doesn’t have to be all grey skies and no sun, you can have fun with a new wardrobe to make life interesting.

Here’s some of our favourite looks and style tips for the new season.

Do invest in a 3/4 length coat in a classic shade, preferably grey, white or black. We promise you’ll never look back.

If the white on white trend is a little too much for you, then at least invest in a white/cream knit. Not only is it warm, the white colour brightens your face in the dull winter light.

Layer, layer and more layers are required to withstand the bitter winds that whip through the winter season. And it’s fun creating new lengths and playing around with various fabrics.

Be sure to buy a beanie, not only do they keep your head warm, but they’ve remained a street style star staple for a few seasons now.

If there’s a time of year when you should wear colour, it’s definitely winter. And there’s not enough of it. Be bold and strike out from the norm in a bright winter coat. Love this cerulean blue.

Invest in a fur collar. It is a simple update to your winter look, great over a simple white tee or a luxe addition to a coat or jacket. And of course we always recommend faux fur fashion.

Try new styles like a cape or a coat with cape like sleeves. It adds a new and interesting detail.

Former Vogue Australia fashion editor, Naomi Smith has impeccable taste and this outfit is a perfect example. Love the longer length of this winter skirt worn with mid-calf leather boots. Chic.

Their name isn’t glamourous at all, but snoods are incredibly warm and are a great casual addition to your daily wardrobe.

And this certainly won’t fare well with everyone, but try wearing a skirt over leather pants or jeans. Sometimes wearing jeans everyday is a little boring, so change it up. This look is especially favoured towards the end of the season when you’re wishing for summer but it’s still weeks away.

And finally, who could do a winter styling report without mentioning the humble scarf. It is often neglected but this season, invest in something different, a few colours, different sizes, textures and knits. It’s a simple, cost-effective way to change up your daily look.

And if all else fails, make like the French and opt for classic black on black. Chic, timeless and current all in one. Can’t go wrong.
