Closet Trendsetters…

FROM toddlers playing dress ups in our parent’s closets to the change rooms of our favourite designers or high street chains, whether it’s conscious or not, fashion forms an inherent part of our personality and daily lives.
It’s our personal style that defines who we are.
Each day as we stroll out the front door to work or play, the outfit we choose portrays our mood.
For some, clothing is a way to offer the world a glimpse of the `real you’ beneath, or alternatively to mask it.
To others, getting dressed can be likened to a daily performance, taking on a character as thought the street is their stage where they can act out another side of their persona.
It’s for this reason, so many of us love fashion, for it’s unique ability to help us step outside our everyday selves and into the heels of a high fashion runway model, our favourite celebrity, sports star, or old Hollywood movie icon.

For me, it’s a highly creative and fun-filled hobby and I wouldn’t enjoy life nearly as much without my eclectic wardrobe.
Each piece in my closet is a treasured collectable, some were bought at vintage markets around the world, others at designer boutiques but they all tell a story of adventure and that sentiment is carried with me each time I put them on.
So everyday is another opportunity to delve into the costumes of my charisma.
Just like my vintage fur coat which I discovered for $60 on a road trip through a small New South Wales town called Lismore.
It’s very Kate Hudson from the film, `Almost Famous’, and I feel like a movie star every time I wear it.

So with that introduction, I would like to welcome you to the Fashion Exposed blog with myself, Sacha Strebe at the helm as the new online editor.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!
