Noa Noa is a brand that seeks to embrace the bohemian spirit.
The name translates to harmony and simplicity, setting the tone for the brand’s boho philosophy that is greatly inspired by nature and is evident in all of their collections.
The current Spring 2012 collection continues the Mother Nature theme with ‘My Secret Garden’ taking us into three different garden universes – Japanese Garden, Wildflower Garden, Desert Garden.

Japanese Garden – Here you find harmony in an aesthetic environment of peace and simplicity. The theme includes a number of kimono and artistic-inspired patterns and prints. The inspiration is particularly evident in the beautiful silk with printed Japanese floral patterns, the look also being repeated in the fine quilted vest and the full woolen jacket with embroidery and applique work.
The colours are aesthetic with balanced, neutral tones in focus. However, the delicate range of colours is broken by traditional Japanese kimono colours such as bright red, acid green and a deep dark blue.

Wildflower Garden – The balance between the controlled and the wild, between the traditional and the ground-breaking provides inspiration for a renewed romantic look in the Noa Noa universe. No one is left in any doubt about what this collection theme embraces – a myriad of floral prints, both big and small, spiced up with traditional Paisley patterns interspersed with Indian flowers and stripes. Of course, there are also plain-coloured styles that match the theme’s look. Key items are the dresses ranging in lengths from just above the knee to three-quarter length to maxi. All with beautiful floral prints and innovative details such as broderie anglaise smock effect with lacework.

Desert Garden – The raw golden desert concludes the collection. The ethnic touch from far-off lands is quite apparent, and once again Noa Noa demonstrates it can update its classic universe to create a modern look. The soft, thin viscose with printed edging and applied embroidery is yet another must-have in the spring collection.

The Danish lifestyle brand will launch in Australia at next month’s Premiere – boutique trade show for exclusive labels from August 28-30 at the Royal Exhibition Building.
