Masquerade
Finding the perfect bra can be likened to the search of the holy grail for women.
It has been a long and tiring search to find one that ticks off all the essential criteria of comfort, support and high-fashion appeal.
We often reach straight for the most fashionable bra first, and suffer later from constant adjusting through the day, straps that fall off your shoulder, and a sore back from poor support.
Thankfully UK-based lingerie company have thrown women a lifesaver with their cleverly crafted Panache bra range.
The award-winning brand have built their reputation on those three core values of Fit, Support and Comfort, specialising in D plus lingerie.
But there’s no sign of `grandma-esque’ styles or colours here.
The larger cup market has been given a luxury makeover with Panache’s five brands and the recent launch of the new Panache Sport, let’s take a look:
Superbra
With it’s strong signature look, the superbra offers the ultimate comfort for fuller busted women with sizes ranging from a D to a KK cup.
CLEO
For the fashion conscious woman, the CLEO brand is vibrant featuring trend-led colour pallets with a playful touch and unrivalled fit.
masquerade
This stunning collection features flattering shapes in a variety of styles including the bandeau, deep plunge, basques and balconnets in silk, satin and lace. Available in D – H cup.
atlantis
From AA to E cup, the atlantis is designed to give you lift. Enhanced, Dramatic and Ultimate give the appearance of a bigger bust, up to two extra cup sizes.
Panache swimwear
After the success of Panache Superbra, and gaining a reputation for “excellence in fit”, the natural progression was to extend this knowledge into the swimwear market. Similar to the Superbra range, Panache Swimwear provides core basics in a variety of simple shapes alongside fashionable designs from D-K cup.
But the most recent phenomenon is the launch of their Panache Sport.
Available from a D to an H cup this revoluntionary design comes after three years of intense research and development to support active women with a large bust.
When women move during exercise, so do their breasts and we all know repetitive movement can cause long term damage of sagging and drooping.
The Panache Sports Bra has been developed to individually encapsulate each breast, holding, supporting and reducing movement in all directions, providing the ultimate support for sporting activities.
Big Girls Don’t Cry Anymore is the Australian distributor for Panache lingerie and their director, Karen Edbrooke has been working with the brand since 1992 to support the ever-growing younger generation of women with larger breasts.
We took five with Karen on the eve of her London trip to meet with the brand. She chats about the much-anticipated launch of the new Panchae Sport, her passion for helping big busted women, and what Panache have in store next.
You have been anticipating this sports bar arrival for some time, as someone who is passionate about this topic, how are you feeling now that it has finally arrived?
I am very excited, it has taken 3 years of intense research and development to produce the ultimate sports bra. We can now finally help all those ladies who want to exercise but have had trouble in the past purely because of their bra size.
This sports bra is just one of the many high-fashion bras in larger cup sizes that Panache specialise in, what is the largest size they reach now?
We do a KK Cup in the Panache Super Bra Range. We have plenty of customers for this, and similar sizes, who have previously been forced to wear ill fitting, unappealing bras. The Super Bra range is a very pretty yet supportive option.
What is your personal favourite in the range?
Panache Tango Style 3251. Next year Tango celebrates its 10th Anniversary. The major complaint from customers is that when they find a bra they like it is discontinued after a few seasons. Not with Tango as it comes in core colours as well as fashion colours every season.
You must hear so many positive emails from girls who have finally found something that is comfortable but also beautiful, how does it feel to be a part of something so personal to so many women?
It is very rewarding. Especially when the girls we are fitting are getting younger and younger. We are fitting a lot of 13-year-olds at the moment and they just want to look and wear the same trendy garments as all their friends. They come in shy and self conscious, thinking that a F cup is not normal or something to be ashamed of. This is one of the main reasons the Cleo by Panache range was introduced. The increasing number of younger girls seeking larger sizes has been reported in nearly every shop we supply.
You are about to head off to London, what are your plans over there? Can you reveal any new info?
Firstly we meet Panache for the export conference, spending time with design and marketing in the UK. It is really important to us to understand the product and what is going on globally for the brand. We then travel to Moda in Paris to look for the latest trends in Lingerie & Swimwear. We want to ensure our stockists have the best new products available so we try to see as much as we can while we are there. We always come home excited about the new season!
